The kiosk

Studio-grade capture, where the hobby lives.

slab.ai's wedge is a capture kiosk: a controlled imaging station at local card shops and card shows. It exists because grading quality is bounded by input quality — and casual photos aren't a foundation you can grade on.

01The input

Why controlled capture beats phone photos.

Casual photos vary in lighting, angle, focus, and background — and inconsistent inputs produce inconsistent grades. At a slab.ai kiosk, every card is photographed the same way, under the same conditions, every time: studio-grade consistency without shipping your card anywhere.

The same standardization that makes grades repeatable also makes every capture a high-quality, structured data point, so the system improves with every card it sees.

02Shops

Built with shops, not around them.

Kiosks live where the hobby already lives. Shops host the kiosk, share in the revenue, and give their customers grading without the wait or the shipping risk.

For collectors, custody stays local — your card never leaves the neighborhood. For shops, the kiosk is a service their customers can't get anywhere else today.

03Pilots

Run a card shop? Let's talk pilots.

We're planning our first pilots with Connecticut card shops and shows. If you'd like your shop considered, leave your details and we'll reach out.
